After over a decade of working together at their former company (Daylight Software), Carl and Debbie decided to launch Telling Stone Software. In their years at Daylight, the two colleagues (and spouses) worked passionately to create the hospitality industry’s most functional, configurable and flexible sales and catering product. As members of the executive team, they ensured Daylight’s focus was on fulfilling the requirements of its customers and making usable software that truly met the needs of its base. Its over-the-top service levels offered a personal touch and ensured loyal customers who considered themselves part of a family. Daylight enterprise, the Company’s core product offering, won two awards by Microsoft™.
Each played a critical role at Daylight; Debbie was Vice President, Product management and oversaw the customer side of the operation, including product management, customer support, training and account management. She ensured the product design and delivery process concluded with a happy and more productive customer. Carl was Vice President of Development and oversaw all software development and quality assurance. His charge was clear; do what the customer truly needs and don’t let technical egos get in the way.
Daylight Software was acquired by its rival competitor, Newmarket International, in March of 2006. Having been part of developing and launching a successful software application from inception to acquisition, the two partners took the opportunity to start Telling Stone to provide the same high quality approach to designing, developing and implementing software for technology companies both in and out of the hospitality industry.
